Balboa Workshops with Katie & Tristan

Katie Frentress and Tristan Gomez will be coming down from Vancouver, WA to teach two balboa workshops for us prior to our monthly dance.

​

Balboa is a partner dance that originated in Southern California in the 1930s. It can be danced to a wide range of tempos and works well on crowded dance floors. 

Schedule:

2:15 pm: Doors Open

2:30 - 3:45 pm: Intro to BalboaNew to Balboa? This is the class for you! We will be covering the footwork patterns, the up-hold and the down-hold basics. We will dive into the Balboa close embrace connection, and work on getting those fundamentals sharp!

4:00 - 5:15 pm: Beyond Beginning Balboa (Lolli-palooza)Picking up where the first workshop left off, we will jump into come-arounds and lollies. For the more advanced dancers, we will offer solo variations for lollies, as well as, focus on sharpening up your connection.

Workshops: $20 for one, $30 for both - includes evening dance​​​
